2 min read

Beacon Communications’ Comtel office in Pleasanton, California recently hosted the first of many healthcare technology training sessions at our new on-site training center.

The inaugural session brought together Beacon and Sutter Health engineering teams for a full day of hands-on technical training focused on Rauland nurse call systems and equipment.

Designed to provide healthcare teams with practical, technical knowledge they can apply directly in the field, the training center gives customers a dedicated environment to learn, troubleshoot, and work collaboratively with Beacon’s engineering team and field technicians.

Hands-On Rauland Nurse Call Training

The session focused on the technical operation, engineering, and troubleshooting of Rauland nurse call equipment and systems.

Working directly with the technology, Sutter Health’s engineers were able to explore system functionality in detail while gaining practical insight into diagnostics, operations, and troubleshooting processes.

The hands-on format allowed the teams to work through technical scenarios, ask questions, and discuss real-world system considerations in an environment designed specifically for healthcare technology training.

Supporting Healthcare Engineering Teams & Staff

Technical training is an important component of maintaining reliable critical communication infrastructure in healthcare environments. For engineering teams responsible for supporting nurse call systems, a deeper understanding of system operation and troubleshooting can help improve response times, streamline issue resolution, and support system performance.

Beacon’s new Pleasanton training center provides a dedicated space for this type of collaborative learning, bringing healthcare professionals and technical experts together to strengthen knowledge and system expertise.

The day included breakfast and coffee, lunch, and dedicated time for technical instruction, discussion, and hands-on learning. More importantly, it created an opportunity for the Beacon and Sutter Health teams to work directly together around the technology supporting critical healthcare workflows.

Building on a New Training Resource

This first training session marks the beginning of an ongoing training program at Beacon’s Pleasanton facility. The new training center is designed to support future customer training, engineering education, technology demonstrations, and collaborative technical sessions across healthcare technology solutions.

We appreciate the Sutter Health engineering team for joining us for our first session and for the opportunity to work together on strengthening technical knowledge and support capabilities.

Beacon Communications is committed to providing more than technology implementation. Through training, engineering support, service, and lifecycle expertise, we help healthcare organizations maximize the performance and value of their critical communication systems.

The first session was a success—and we look forward to many more healthcare training sessions at our Pleasanton training center.
